How We Started
ZB Builders was founded over a decade ago by a flooring contractor who was tired of seeing the same problems repeated on job sites across Portland and Vancouver: rushed installations, ignored subfloor issues, and floors that failed within months because the preparation was skipped.
After years of working for larger companies where speed mattered more than quality, our founder decided to build something different — a flooring company that wouldn't cut corners, wouldn't rush through prep work, and wouldn't leave customers with floors that buckle, squeak, or fail prematurely.
